Intake manifolds, rocker covers, throttle bodies, AFM/Airboxes

  • Intake manifolds have any extra components such as brackets, fuel rails and injectors removed - these parts can also be restored. They are then hot tanked to remove any build up inside the manifold. After thorough cleaning, they are then prepared for coating. If a bare finish is required, the intake is vapour blasted. Clear cerakote can be applied over the vapour blasted finish to provide long lasting protection

  • Rocker covers have their baffle removed to avoid any contamination with blasting media trapped under the baffle. Once the baffles are removed the rocker cover is ultrasonically cleaned to remove build up. They are vapour blasted if to be left bare, or the external area sandblasted to be prepared for coating. A variety of coatings are available. Any embossed parts of the cover can be hand sanded after coating to leave a flawless contrasting finish.

  • Throttle bodies are fully disassembled into their components including removal of the sealed needle bearings. The body itself is then prepared for its coating, being either a bare vapour blasted coating or cerakote. After coating, new bearings are pressed into the body. All hardware including the springs are plated to match the factory finish.

  • AFMs are removed from their respective airbox and thoroughly cleaned. Custom machined plugs are used to block off each end, and then the AFM is vapour blasted. The plastic cover is also refinished, plastic paint can be used for this or permanent trim restorer - this depends on condition. Metal airboxes are blasted to remove all rust and old paint, and then refinished in a factory like coating. Plastic airboxes are vapour blasted. All clips and mounting hardware are plated.

  • Alternators are fully disassembled, and the bearings are pressed off the rotor. The rotor is wire brushed and refinished in black epoxy paint. The stator is wire brushed on the inside edge to remove rust, the outside edge is painted in the appropriate colour (normally red). New brushes can be installed as required. The rotor bearings are always replaced. All hardware is zinc plated.
